I hesitate to call myself an 'indie developer' yet since I haven't even really started coding on my projects, but I'm a professor developer by day, so...

I actually have 2 projects I'm working on. 1 is my own idea and I'm working on the details with a friend of mine.

The other is with someone I met online who needed a code, and I like the sound of his project.

Both are puzzle games, but mine has puzzles that are all related, where the other is more general and will feature a variety of puzzles. I don't imagine that the 2 will have any puzzles in common.

I plan to work on coding for the second one and get him started while I work on the details of my own. At some point, I'll obviously have to make a decision about priorities.

Ok I'll chime in :) I've been working on a web-based strat game for a while but since I got burn-out I'm working on a squad-based almost RTS top-down pitiful graphics standalone game now.
Mostly PGC (maps, companions, interactions are generated, main storyline is scripted).

I was apparently too subtly commenting on the number of indie devs who appear to be working on roguelikes...

Nonetheless it's good to hear from people who are reading this blog who are getting indirect rather than direct inspiration.

I'm working on two projects. One can be called a roguelike, but is not remotely traditional; you can play an early version of it in browser here (arrows to move, space to shoot):

More information on that project can be found here:

I'm also working on a smaller collaborative Shmup project that should be finished inside a month.

I expect next year's poll to be twice as large.
